Meet the Team

Heather Bowen, Nutrition Consultant

Heather grew up in BC and has been calling Calgary her home for two years now. Following the Dietetics program, Heather completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Food, Nutrition and Health from UBC Vancouver. Her desire to learn and her passion for nutrition and wellness did not stop there. Heather continued her studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC where she received her Holistic Nutrition Health Coach designation. Studying under the world’s top health and wellness experts, Heather learned the most up to date nutrition theories, holistic health practices, and key weight management techniques. She has a passion for cooking and recipe creating and has a unique talent in creating plant-based and gluten free health food products. Heather is very excited to join the Simply For Life team as helping others reach their wellness goals through education, motivation and a structured game plan is her specialty. She believes that lifestyle related illnesses can be prevented and or reversed by choosing whole foods, developing healthy habits and fostering a positive mindset. Let the healing begin!

Melissa Goldsmith, RD

Melissa grew up in Montreal, and completed a degree in Hotel Management. She used this degree to work and travel the world. This is how she discovered her passion for food, nutrition and cooking. Melissa obtained her Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition and graduated as a Registered Dietitian. She is dedicated to helping people, which has always shown through her continuous community involvement, both locally and globally. It is very important to her that people have the education and tools required to live a healthier lifestyle. She is a proud nutrition advocate and strong believer in preventing and treating medical conditions with healthy living education and specifically tailored diets. Melissa believes that real health starts with real food, and not only should it be easy, it should be tasty and fun too!
