Jillian McGee, Nutrition Consultant, BSc

Jillian McGee has been a Nutrition Consultant with Simply For Life Summerside since graduating with her Bachelor of Science with a Major in Nutrition in 2006. Jillian’s experience working with a wide variety of clients over the years and her background as a Naturotherapist allows her to educate, motivate and inspire anyone to achieve and maintain their goals!

Jennie Orr, Nutrition Consultant, RD

Jennie graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island with a bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, after changing her major in her first year of study. Jennie started running in her first year of university, and from this a passion for food, and nutrition developed. Jennie in pursuit of a Boston Marathon qualifying time, took a deeper look at her nutrition as fuel, and a way to enhance performance. Not only did she run better; qualifying for, and running 4 Boston Marathons, she felt better mentally and physically. Jennie decided then she wanted to be a dietitian, and after her undergrad she went on to complete her dietetic internship at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Jennie has been a dietitian now for 4 years, and has worked both in Long Term Care with Shannex, and in the community. Jennie loves cooking, inventing new recipes, and challenging others to put their health as their number one priority. Jennie wants to help people get back to their roots. To seek out farmers markets, and small vegetable stands, while minimizing the increasingly packaged, and processed foods found on grocery store shelves. Jennie works to inspire a different lifestyle, to go against the fast food culture, and to take back the habits of previous generations where cooking, and food preparation were common instead of a rare occasion. Jennie was born and raised on a small farm in rural PEI, and is beyond excited to return to the island to help Islanders take back their own health through individualized nutrition plans tailored to meet their unique needs and goals. If you are interested in working towards a healthier and happier relationship with your food: Jennie has openings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
