Mila Maxwell, Franchisee, CHN, Nutrition Advisor

After trying nearly every skin care line on the market, prescription steroid creams and even the drug Accutane, twice, she started questioning her diet, even though every dermatologist she saw told her diet would do little to improve her condition. “In University I started paying closer attention to my diet, after eating nearly anything I wanted all my life, I figured it might be the missing link. I became very strict with my diet, cutting out sugar and junk and eating more fruits and vegetables and it was then that things started to change; that’s when I knew I was on to something. Not only did my eating habits change, but so did my mood, attitude, energy and of course, my choice of skin care products. I tossed anything that had artificial scents, parabens and harmful preservatives and focused on only using a minimal number of products that were completely natural.” Over the years, Mila has gained a wealth of knowledge through research, courses and general curiosity. She has discovered ways to manage stress and anxiety and loves to help clients improve their own health with her gentle and empathetic approach. Her true passion lies in helping others feel their best through proper nutrition and self-care. She has, and continues to study nutrition and is now a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and Naturopath, as well as a certified yoga instructor.

Jennifer Miller, Nutrition Advisor

Always a nature lover who enjoyed hiking and staying active, but who had never been to a gym or done a fitness class, Jen found herself in her 20's working a high- stress office job with prescriptions for high blood pressure and anxiety, totally unaware of the importance of self care. Realizing it was time for a drastic lifestyle change her first step was to join fitness classes where she instantly felt she had found her passion and decided she would one day be an Instructor. Knowing that fitness and nutrition went hand in hand she signed up for a 4-week Simply For Life program, where she had weight loss success but more importantly learned the importance of eating real, whole foods. After her first child she became certified as a Group Fitness Instructor with Canfitpro and began coaching a variety of fitness classes. A healthy diet, physical activity and a more positive outlook changed her life and she is now happier, healthier and 80 pounds lighter. Realizing the keys to success, she was determined to support others on their journey to a healthier, happier lifestyle, so when offered a job as a Corporate Wellness Consultant while on maternity leave with her second child she couldn't refuse. She began this new role and then found herself busier than ever, working her full time job and instructing several classes a week but still happy doing what she loved. Then surprised by lay offs from both her office and consulting jobs, she took the opportunity to complete her Personal Trainer Specialist certification with Canfitpro, 200 hour Yoga Teacher training with Amana Institute, Barre and Pilates teacher training with Stott and most recently she graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition where she completed the Holistic Nutrition course. Now a Registered Holistic Nutritionist she is thrilled to begin a career as a Nutrition Advisor at Simply For Life, where her path to good nutrition originally began.
